Year 1

    • MAMMOET Publishable Summary
      The publishable summary is part of D5.2 "1st periodic report according to EC regulations of the model contract" and provides an overview of the main goals of the MAMMOET project as well as a description of the work performed and results in the first project period.

    • D1.1 - System scenarios, and requirements specifications
      Key 5G mobile broadband scenarios, for which massive MIMO is mostly relevant, are described. The envisioned operation of a massive MIMO system is outlined, focusing on PHY technical functionality. The total BS power consumption is modeled. The main performance metrics of spectral and energy efficiency are elaborated. Several tradeoffs are discussed.

    • D3.1 - First assessment of baseband processing requirements for MaMi systems
      Base-band processing requirements for Massive MIMO systems are discussed and outlined. Alternative transmission and reception strategies for Massive MIMO are discussed in conjunction with associated processing requirements and hardware platform/implementation options.

Year 2

      The publishable summary is part of D5.3 "2nd periodic report according to EC regulations of the model contract" and provides an overview of the main goals of the MAMMOET project as well as a description of the work performed and results in the second project period.

    • D1.2 - MaMi Channel Characteristics: Measurement Results
      This deliverable presents channel measurement results for the scenarios Open exhibition and Crowded auditiorium. The measurement procedure and equipment are described. Massive MIMO (MaMi) channel characteristics and key parameters are extracted and used in an extended COST 2100 channel model for MaMi. The initial validation performed shows that the model is capable of reproducing the statistics in terms of temporal behavior of the user separability, singular value spread, capacity and sum-rate and directional characteristics. The model can be used for system and link level MaMi simulations.

    • D2.4 - Analysis of non-reciprocity impact and possible solutions
      This deliverable reports on the impact study of non-reciprocal transceivers on the channel state acquisition, and consequently the performance of Massive MIMO systems. Two possible mitigation approaches are introduced, which may both be adequate depending on the system set-up.

    • D2.5 - Description of MaMi digital modulation and architectures for efficient MaMi transmission
      This deliverable describes the digital modulator architectures. It also presents the motivation behind time based signal processing in tandem with digital modulators and a digital modulator implementation, that is based on the needs of a transmitter for MaMi (power efficient and low-cost).

    • D3.2 - Distributed and centralized baseband processing algorithms, architectures, and platforms
      Baseband processing and the corresponding processing distribution for Massive MIMO systems are discussed. Digital signal processing algorithms are discussed in the context of practical deployment scenarios and in conjunction with hardware architecture, implementation cost, and power consumption.

    • D5.5 - Updated plan and initial report on dissemination, standardization and exploitation
      This deliverable reports on the progress and future plans of the project partners for their dissemination activities, standardization and exploitation of project results.

Year 3

    • D2.7 - Description of circuit design and test design of a novel power efficient and flexible transmitter system for MaMi based transmission
      A detailed implementation level description of the digital and mixed signal modulators fabricated in 40nm CMOS.

    • D3.3 - Hardware-aware signal processing for MaMi systems
      Hardware-aware baseband processing and hardware implementa- tion are developed and evaluated from a performance-complexity tradeoff perspective. The deliverable covers channel estimation, robust and efficient detection and precoding, novel MaMi hard- ware architectures and implementations, out-of-band radiation, link-level evaluation, and energy consumption profiling.

    • D4.2 - Test-bed based assessment and proof of concept
      This deliverable details the testbed based assessment and proof-of-concept studies performed in the MAMMOET project. The real-time testbed architecture and implemen- tation is described, together with system parameters. Both indoor and outdoor tests are described, where the behaviour of MaMi communication is studied. Tests are performed both in stationary (indoor/outdoor) and mobile (outdoor) environments.

    • D4.4 - Overall system validation and assessment
      Over the course of the Mammoet project, different aspects of the MaMi technology have been investigated, including theoretical studies, simulations, hardware design and testbed-based experi- ments. This deliverable validates aspects connecting the work of multiple workpackages and project components. This includes system simulations based on the channel model derived from measurements, as well as cross-validation of power consumption figures with respect to power models.

    • D5.4 - Publishable Summary
      The publishable summary is part of D5.4 "3rd periodic report according to EC regulations of the model contract" and provides an overview of the main goals of the MAMMOET project as well as a description of the work performed and results in the third project period.
